I am an English-Russian public service and conference interpreter with over 15 years’ experience in the industry.
Having passed the Metropolitan Police Test I joined the National Register in June 2005. Since then I have been working as a freelance interpreter/translator within the Criminal Justice System. I have been providing my services for a number of various institutions including Crown Courts, Magistrates’ Courts, Police forces (including Metropolitan Police), Probation Services, HM Prison Services (including mental health assessments), Immigration and a number of Criminal Defence Solicitors on numerous occasions.
My work in public service involves interpreting of police interviews and legal consultations, as well as court proceedings, transcribing and translation of legal documents such as witness statements, records of interviews, expert reports, Counsel Advice and legal letters.
My work in various Crown Courts included trials, appeals, case management hearings and mentions.
